Bianca knew from a young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She pursued an Honours Bachelor degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, where she played on the varsity women’s soccer team. She then moved to Saint Kitts for veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. While there she balanced her studies with a role of president for the People for Animal Welfare on Saint Kitts (PAWS) Rescue organization, snorkelling, and indulging in island life. Her last year of vet school, focused on developing her clinical skills, was spent at the University of Wisconsin. Following her graduation in January, 2020, she pursued a specialized Primary Care internship for 5 months at the University of Wisconsin. She then relocated to her home of Toronto to join the Downtown Animal Hospital team. Her passions include client communication, primary care, surgery, and oncology. She also has a special place in her heart for fancy breed cats, and of course puppies and kittens. When not caring for your beloved fur-children, she is spending time with her dog Kai, playing soccer, and trying new recipes.
